Pristine Lakes, Windswept Pine Trees, Rock Formations

Canada is the epitome of geographical beauty. From the mighty mountains in the West, through the prairies studded with pristine lakes, Canadian Shield formations in the middle, Quebec's gorgeous wilderness to the East Coast rocky cliffs. To anglers it presents yet another appeal: It's the Fisherman's Mecca.
Ontario is known for its vast number of freshwater lakes, rivers and streams. These waterways are set within huge expanses of boreal forest and together, they provide for some of the finest outdoor adventure opportunities in North America. Most have a wide variety of fish types including walleye, northern pike, muskie, smallmouth bass, lake trout, perch & whitefish, with many trophy lakes. The Great Lakes offer additional fishing opportunity: Atlantic Salmon and Rainbow Trout (Steelhead)
Near Arctic Quebec offers yet another side of Canadian beauty: tundra forests, rocky shores of crystal clear lakes and fresh arctic air, all set with the backdrop of Arctic Lights (Aurora Borealis). Here you can fish for the prized arctic char, huge lake trout, and beautiful brook trout.
Fishing Seasons (with some exceptions)
Northern Pike: open year round
Walleye: Third Saturday in May to next April 14
Lake Trout: Jan. 1 to Sept. 30

Smallmouth Bass: open year round

Ontario has a continental climate. Northern Ontario has long, very cold winters and short summers. The southern part of the province, however, enjoys the tempering effect of the Great Lakes. Arctic summer in the near Arctic Quebec is not too long, but offers just enough time to enjoy its splendour (June- August)
