No doubt I was excited for the upcoming Arctic Adventure trip, I just didn’t know what to expect since it was my first booking with Big Fish Canada. Ever since childhood I wanted to try fishing in Canada, I just never found the time to research it properly and arrange all the travel requirements. Big Fish Canada took care of all that.
After arriving in Montreal I was greeted by their representative and guided to where I should be next. The flight from Kuujuvak to the camp was among the most scenic I've ever seen, Canadian Arctic is simply stunning. The camps were simple but warm and cozy, the hosts were very hospitable and the warm meal I was served after arrival was perfect. We started fishing the very first day. Now, I've had my share of first cast hits in my life, but that first cast hit was something else. After a 15-minute fight I landed my first ever lake trout that weighted over 8 kg Wow! And as it turned out they were just warming up. I’ve also caught my first Arctic Char, it was the most beautifully colored fish I have ever seen. Overall I loved the trip, and I will go fishing again with Big Fish Canada.

Muskies, muskies, muskies. After learning about how hard it is to catch one, I didn’t think I was going to catch one. Well I did, and not one but six. I have also heard about bass but never actually seen or caught one. During the same trip I’ve caught over a hundred bass!!! Now I would trade a bucket of our native European perch for one nice bass. They are great fighters!!
